יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱלהִים כְּשַׂרָה, אֵשֶׁת נְעוּרִים וְרַעְיָה נֶאֱמָנָה יְהִי רָצוֹן שֶׁאֶמוּנָה וּנֶאֱמָנוּת, מְסִירוּת וְטוּב לֵב יִהְיוּ יְסוֹד חַיָיךְ.יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱ-להִים כְּרִבְקָה, אֵשֶׁת הַחֶסֶד וְעַמוּד הַנְתִינָה יִהְיוּ נַא יַדָיִךְ וְלִבֵּךְ פְּתוּחִים תָּמִיד לְכֹל אָדָם, וְהַנְתִּינָה וְהַחֶסֶד נֵר לְרַגְלָיִךְ. יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱ-להִים כְּרָחֵל, מַשְׂאָת לֵב אֲהוּבָה וְאֵם אוֹהֶבֶת. יְהִי רָצוֹן שְׁתִּימַלְאִי אַהֲבָה לְכֹל נֶפֶשׁ וּלְכֹל בְּרִיאָה, שְׁתֹּאהַבי אַת הַבְּרִיוֹת וְתֵּאַהֲבִי עַל יַדָּם. יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱ-להִים כְּלֵאָה, אֵם הַבָּנִים וְעַקֵרֶת הַבָּיִת יְהִי רָצוֹן שְׁתִּזְכִּי לִבְנוֹת בַּיִת נֶאֱמָן, יְסוֹדוֹתָיו עַל אַדְנַי אֱמוּנָה וְתּוֹכוֹ רָצוּף אַהֲבָה. יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱ-להִים כְּמִרְיָם, נְבִיאָה וּמַנְהִיגָה לְעַמָּהּ לְוַאי וְתַּשְׂכִּילִי לְהַשְׁמִיעַ אֵת קוֹלֵךְ הַמְיוּחָד לָךְ בּסוּגִיוֹת שֶׁל כְּלָל כִּבְשֵׁאֵלוֹת שֶׁל פְּרָט, וּלְבַטֵא אֵת תְּכוּנוֹתַיִך הַסְגוּלִיוֹת בִּנְתִיבֵי הַלִּימוּד וּבְעוֹלָם הַמַעֲשֶׂה. יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱ-להִים כְּאַבִיגָּיִל, רַבָּת תְּבוּנָה וְטוֹבַת עֵצָה, שְׁמָנְעַה אֵת דָּוִד מִלָבוֹא בְּדָמִּים. יְהִי רָצוֹן שְׁתְּתָכְּנִי אַת חַיָיִך בְּעֵצָה טוֹבָה וּבְּרֹב תְּבוּנָה, וְהַאֶמֶת וְהשָׁלוֹם אֱהַבִי. יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱ-להִים כְּאֵסְתֵּר בַּת אַבִיחַיִל, מַלְכָּה לַגוֹיִם וּמוֹשִׁיעָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁכָּרְכָה אֵת גוֹרָלָה בְּגוֹרָל עַמָּה וְאֱ-לֹהֶיהָ, שֶׁשָׂמָה אֵת נַפְשָׁה בְּכַפָּה וְהַחֲרֵשׁ לֹא הֶחֱרִישָׁה, שֶׁבְּחֹכְמָה וּבְאוֹמֶץ-לֵב הֵבִיאָה תְּשׁוּעָה לַיְהוּדִים, וּמַפָּלָה לִמְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשָׁם תְּהֵא דַּעֲתֵּךְ מְעוֹרֶבֶת תַּמִיד עִם הַבְּרִיוֹת כּוֹאֶבֶת אֵת כְּאֵבָם וּשְׂמֵחָה בְּשִׂמְחַתָּם וּתְּהֵא נַפְשֵׁךְ קְשוּרָה תַּדִיר בְּגוֹרָל עַמֵּךְ וּבְתִּקְוָתוֹ.
Explanation For The blessing
This is a blessing is for the Bat Mitzvah girl so that she may come of age and show the virtues of our sacred nation's women. May you be like Sarah [=faith], Rivka [=benevolence], Rachel [=love], Leah [=foundations of a home], Miriam [=prophecy and leadership], Abigail [=wisdom], Esther [=kingship].
Much like the Bar Mitzvah, the Bat Mitzvah also marks the assuming of responsibility, with some of the duties being inter-personal such as offering help to others and respecting one's parents, while others involve one's relationship with God, e.g. various mitzvahs and other religious rites.
The responsibilities can be divided into two categories: thoughts and faith and responsibility for one's actions.
The Bat Mitzvah unites all these principles and constitutes a young woman's declaration to the world that she is, from that moment onwards, willing to take responsibility for her actions.
The two mitzvoth assumed by the young women of Israel symbolize: first, the prayer and the relations between man and God – a seemingly spiritual commitment, but one that is essentially expressed in prayer; second, the lighting of the Shabbat candles, symbolizing change and hope.
